Itinerary
Day 1 Punta Arenas
Check in between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on av. Costanera del Estrecho 1398 (Arturo Prat Pier), Punta Arenas. Boarding at 18:00 hrs. Toast welcome and presentation of the Captain and the crew. Later, the ship will set sail towards the South end. Through the mythical Strait of Magellan and the Beagle Channel, you will tour Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.
Day 2 Ainsworth Bay - Tuckers Islets
With the first light of dawn, you will navigate through the Almirantazgo sound until you reach the surroundings of the Marinelli glacier in the bay. Ainsworth. We will learn how life resurfaces after the retreat of the ice. We will undertake a walk to discover a dam of beavers and the wonderful subantarctic Magellanic forest that surrounds it. On the beach or on the island we will try to spot elephant seals South Americans. It is not possible to guarantee said sighting because the colony is constantly migrating its location. Continuing the navigation, after lunch we will visit the Tuckers islets where from the Zodiac boats we will see penguins of Magellan and Cormorants. In September and April this excursion is replaced by a hike near a glacier in Brookes Bay.
Day 3 Pía Glacier - Avenue of the Glaciers
We will sail through the Northwest arm of the Beagle Channel to enter and disembark in the Pía Fjord. We will make an excursion to the viewpoint from where you can see the homonymous glacier, whose main tongue extends from the top of the mountain range to the sea. After this unforgettable experience, we will continue our navigation under the majestic gaze of the "Avenida de los Glaciares"
Day 4 Cape Horn - Wulaia Bay
We will sail through the Murray Channel and Nassau Bay to reach the Cape Horn National Park, where we will disembark if the weather conditions allow. The mythical Cape Horn was discovered in 1616 and is an almost vertical promontory 425 meters high. height. For years it was an important shipping lane for sailing ships between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. It is known as the End of the World and was declared a World Biosphere Reserve in 2005. In the afternoon we will disembark at Wulaia Bay, a historical site that was one of the largest settlements of the native canoeists. Yamanas. Charles Darwin, an English naturalist, landed here in 1833 during his voyage aboard HMS Beagle. This place offers a visual spectacle of great beauty for its vegetation and geography. Day 5 Ushuaia
Arrival in Ushuaia, the most important Argentine city in Tierra del Fuego and the southernmost in the world. Disembarkation at 08:30 hours.
