Live the history of our region and their people, travelling toward the south of the Brunswick Peninsula and bordering the legendary Strait of Magellan where will be possible to watch several species of marine birds and in a lucky day probably a coupleof dolphins and sea lions.
Located 60 kms south, the area reminds two colonization attempt in this southern lands, the first of them from 1584 when the Spanish government founded the “Ciudad del Rey Don Felipe” which failed due to the lack of food and constants indians attacks, the second foundation was when the Chilean Government established the Fuerte Bulnes taking posession of the Strait of Magellan in the name of Chile, this one also fails and the colny was moved to the current location of Punta Arenas
On the way is found the monument that shows the geographic centre of Chile considering the distance between the border with Peru and the South Pole
